Clifton School from Durban embarked on their annual cricket tour to Cape Town on the 15th October 2018. They travelled with 13 boys and 2 staff members. They played matches against Bishops Diocesan College, SACS, Wynberg Boys' High School and Rondebosch Boys' High School. They were accommodated at the Best Western Cape Suites Hotel for 2 nights and hosted out with schools on the other 2 nights. Staff stayed at the Wild Olive Guest House when boys were hosted out. The team returned to Durban on the 19th October 2018 after a very successful tour.
Howick Preparatory School departed the school on a self drive tour to Mpumalanga on the 09th October 2018. They travelled with 13 boys and 2 staff members. Their first stop was in Ermelo where they played a fixture against Laerskool JJ Van Der Merwe. They overnighted at Biggie's Bed and Breakfast in Ermelo for the evening. The next day the team travelled to Nelspruit for a fixture against Penryn College Preparatory School. En route to the school they enjoyed some local sightseeing including a visit to the Jock of the Bushveld statue. The next day saw the team in Malelane playing a fixture against Riverview Preparatory School and a visit to the Sudwala Caves. Following this they enjoyed a self drive through Kruger National Park and a fixture against Uplands College Preparatory School. On their last day they travelled back to Nelspruit for a fixture against Curro Nelspruit Primary School. On the 14th October 2018 the team travelled back to KwaZulu Natal.
Lambrook School from the United Kingdom once again sent their prep cricket team on a tour to South Africa in October 2018. They started their tour in Cape Town where they played the first 3 matches of their tour against local schools. Sightseeing in Cape Town included Table Mountain, Robben Island and a Cape Town City Tour amongst others. They then travelled to KwaZulu- Natal where they played the last 3 matches of their tour against local schools. Visits in KZN included uShaka Marine World and an elephany interaction at Bayete Zulu. The group ended off their tour at Mpila Camp in the Imfolozi Game Reserve where they enjoyed 2 game drives tryin to spot the "big 5". The tour consisted of 14 boys and 3 staff.
Newland House School from Twickenham, travelled to South Africa on their annual cricket tour. They travelled with 20 boys and 4 staff. Their tour took place in Cape Town and they played cricket matches against Bridge House, Grove Primary, Applewood Prep, Groote Schuur Primary and Somerset College Prep. Whilst in Cape Town, they visited many of the Mother City's popular tourist attractions such as Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cheetah Outreach Centre and the Two Oceans Aquarium. They also had the opportunity to visit Aquila Private Game Reserve.
Westbourne House from the United Kingdom sent their U13A and U13B cricket teams on a tour to South Africa in October 2018. They departed London on the 17 October 2018 and returned on the 30 October 2018. There were 22 players and 4 staff. They started their tour off in Pretoria where they played their first matches against Cornwall Hill College. After this they departed to Kwazulu-Natal where they played matches against Winterton Primary School, Treverton Preparatory School, Thomas More College, St Charles College, Felixton College and Howick Preparatory School. They had some free time where they enjoed the beautiful sights South Africa has to offer which included a tour of Centurion Cricket Ground, uShaka Marine World, Gateway's Wavehouse, the Howick Falls, Nelson Mandela Capture Site and a boat cruise in St Lucia. The group stayed at Shakaland for one night where they will enjoy a cultural experience. They also spent two nights at Hiltop Camp in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve where they had two daily game drives.
