Beaulieu College from Johannesburg travelled to KZN with their senior boys and girls soccer teams. They departed Johannesburg on the 02 September and returned to Johannesburg on the 06 September 2019. They played local schools in Durban North and Umhlanga. The group enjoyed a visit to uShaka Marine World and a guided tour of the Moses Mabhida Stadium. They also had free time to enjoy the beach and The Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
Howick Preparatory School embarked on their annual cricket tour on the 30 September 2019. They drove to Gauteng and on to CBC Boksburg for their first match. The team were then hosted out with Cornwall Hill College parents for 2 nights. They then played their next match at Cornwall Hill College. The next fixtures saw them playing Rivonia Primary School and Curro Serengeti. On the last day of their tour they departed Gauteng for Harrismith where they stopped over and played a match against New Horizon College. Following the match the team drove home, back to Howick. The team consisted of 13 players and 3 accompanying staff members.
King David Primary School Linksfield sent their U13 cricket boys to KwaZulu-Natal in September 2019. They departed on the 15th September 2019 and returned on the 19th September 2019. There were 12 boys and 2 staff on tour. They played 5 matches in total against Northlands Primary School, Virginia Preparatory School, Clifton School, St Charles College and Westville Primary School. They had some free time to enjoy the beautiful sights of KwaZulu-Natal which included a tour of the Durban Holocaust and Genocide Centre, a tour of Kingsmead Stadium and a fun morning at uShaka Marine World.
Maritzburg College travelled to England and Wales with their 1st XV rugby team consisting of 25 boys and they travelled with 5 staff. They began their tour in England where they played a match against Eltham College. They then continued through to Millfield School where they played their next match. They made their way to Cardiff in Wales and played a match against Christ College, Brecon. Their last match was against Oakham School. Their tour ended in London where they spent two nights and had the opportunity to visit Madame Tussauds, London Eye and London Dungeon.
St Stithians Boys' Preparatory from Johannesburg travelled to Cape Town on a cricket tour. They travelled with 12 players and 2 coaches. They flew out of Lanseria Airport to Cape Town International Airport. While there they played against some great schools! In their downtime they experienced all that Cape Town has to offer like visiting Robben Island, Table Mountain and experiencing the thrill of toboganning!
Winston Park Primary School sent their U13 Cricket, U13 Hockey and U13 Netball teams on a tour to Gauteng in September 2019. Their exciting tour began on Monday the 9th of September when they flew from Durban to Lanseria. They enjoyed a good mix of sightseeing and fixtures. Fixtures were played against Redhill Preparatory School, Reddam House Waterfall and Kyalami Preparatory School. Sightseeing inlcluded visits to the Origins Museum, Jozi-X Adventure Centre and Avalanche. They returned to Durban on Friday the 13th of September.
