LOCHINVER HOUSE AND ST HUGH'S SCHOOL RUGBY TOUR TO SOUTH AFRICA

Lochinver House School and St Hugh's School from the United Kingdom are once again joining together to travel to South Africa on a Rugby Tour in April 2020. They begin their tour in Cape Town where they play matches against Langa Development teams and Gardenia Primary School. Sightseeing in the Cape includes Table Mountain, Robben Island, a tour of Langa township with lunch at a local restaurant, a full day Cape Town Peninsula Tour including Hout Bay with a boat ride to Seal Island, Cape Point and Boulders Beach. The group then fly to KwaZulu-Natal where they enjoy a Zulu cultural experience at Shakaland before heading off to Hilltop Camp in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve for 2 nights. They then proceed to Durban where they will be accommodated for 3 nights as well as play another fixture against a local school. In their free time they will watch a Super XV match, spend some time at the beach as well as enjoy a full day at uShaka Marine World. The tour ends off in Johannesburg where the group play their last match of the tour against Unika Primary School before heading to Sun City for their final 2 nights in South Africa. The tour consists of 32 boys, 4 staff members and quite a few supporters following the tour.

ST ALBAN'S COLLEGE HOCKEY TOUR TO THE NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM AND GERMANY

St Alban's College, based in Pretoria, South Africa, are sending their 1st and u16 boys on a hockey tour to The Netherlands and Germany in April 2020. The tour begins in The Hague where the teams participate in the Easter Hockey Tournament, which is held annually in the Netherlands and has teams playing from around the world. Following the tournament they head to Amsterdam for 2 nights. Here the teams have a training clinic with Dutch coaches as well as enjoy a visit to Zaanse Schans, a re-created village consisting of historic windmills, watch an EHL (Euro Hockey League) match, enjoy a canal cruise and have free time to explore on their own. They then transfer to Antwerp in Belgium where they have some free time to explore the city before playing matches against local teams. The group will be accommodated for the final 3 nights of their tour in Maastricht, which is on the Southern tip of The Netherlands. Day trips from here include Cologne (in Germany) where they spend a full day at Phantasialand, a large theme park and the next day have a training clinic with local German Coaches and play matches against local teams. Thier final day is spent in Dusseldorf where they have the day free to explore before flying back to South Africa. The group consists of 28 boys and 4 staff.

ST DAVID'S MARIST INANDA HOCKEY TOUR TO THE NETHERLANDS

St David's Marist Inanda from Johannesburg, are sending their 1st and mixed Colts team hockey boys on a tour to The Netherlands in April 2020. The group fly into Amsterdam and then head straight to The Hague where they will be accommodated at a local hostel for 5 nights. Following a full day of sightseeing in The Hague they participate in the 3-day Easter Hockey Tournament which is held annually and is attended by teams from across the world. Following the tournament the group return to Amsterdam where they stay for the next 5 nights. Here the group attend 2 hockey clinics with dutch coaches as well as play another 3 matches against local clubs. Sightseeing in The Netherlands includes a visit to Rotterdam with a trip up the Euromast, a canal cruise in Amsterdam, a walk through Zaanse Schans, a re-created 18th/19th century village consisting of historic windmills, a skiing experience at Snow Planet as well as a chance to watch a Euro Hockey league match. The group consists of 33 students and 4 staff members.

ST. PETER'S COLLEGE NETBALL & SQUASH TOUR TO SINGAPORE & MALAYSIA

A netball and squash team from St. Peter’s College will be travelling to Singapore and Malaysia in April. Their 11 night tour commences on the 12th April where the group will depart for Singapore. While in Singapore, the teams will play a match against a local school in their respective sporting fields. During their visit to Singapore, the group will visit Sentosa Island, Chinatown, the Garden by the Bay as well as Mount Faber. Then the teams will coach transfer to Malaysia where they will play 6 matches against local schools and clubs. The group will visit iconic sites such as the Petronas Towers, the King’s Palace, the Royal Selangor Factory as well as the Batu Caves. After an incredible tour, the teams will travel from Penang to Johannesburg.
