Aldro School from the United Kingdom are sending their prep boys on a cricket tour to the Western Cape, South Africa in February 2020. Their tour begins in Stellenbosch where they stay at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch for 2 nights and play matches against Applewood Preparatory School and Somerset House School. They then head to Cape Town where they are accommodated at the City Lodge V&A Waterfront for 6 nights and play matches against Herzlia Primary School and Bridge House School amongst others. Sightseeing for the group includes the Cheetah Sanctuary, Robben Island, a visit to Seal Island and Boulders Beach to see the penguins and of course Table Mountain, one of the 7 Wonders of Nature. The tour party consists of 15 boys and 2 staff members.
Eton College will be sending their U15 cricket boys to South Africa in February 2020. There will be 15 boys and 3 staff on tour. They will depart the UK on the 13th February 2020 and return on the 23 February 2020. While on our they will play 5 matches against Newlands Cricket School, Paarl Gymnasium, Paul Roos Gymnasium, Bishops Diocesan College and De Villiers Graaf. They will have some free time where they will visit the beautiufl attractions Cape Town has to offer including Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Lion Park, Mbekweni Township and the beach.
King's College Junior School from the United Kingdom will be traveling to South Africa on a cricket tour. There will be 21 boys and 4 staff. They will begin their tour in Cape Town where they will play matches against Eversdal Primary School, Grove Primary School and Somerset College Prep School. They will then continue through to Durban where they will play against Clifton Prep School and Thomas More College. They will have the opportunity to visit many popular tourist destinations in both Cape Town and Durban including Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cheetah Outreach, Phezulu Safari Park, Ushaka as well as enjoy a cruise on Lake St Lucia. Their tour will end with two nights in the BIG 5 Hluhluwe Game Reserve.
Pembroke House School from Kenya will be sending their U13 Hockey and Cricket teams to South Africa in February 2020. There will be 30 girls and boys and 4 staff on tour. They will depart on the 12th Febraury 2020 and return on the 19th February 2020. They will spend their first night in Port Elizabeth thereafter they will travel to Grahamstown where they will have their first training sessions and matches. They will play matches against Kingswood College (boys), Victoria Primary School (girls), St Andrew's Preparatory School (boys), DSG (girls), Woodridge College (boys & girls), St George's Preparatory School (boys & girls) and Herbert Hurd Primary School (boys & girls). They will have some free time to enjoy the beautiful sights South Africa has to offer including visits to the Albany Museum, Makana Botanical Gardens and the Bayworld Ocenarium. They will also enjoy a sandboarding session and surf lesson.
Summer Fields School from the UK will be traveling to Cape Town on a prep school cricket tour. They will be traveling with their 1st XI team consisting of 15 boys and with 3 staff. They will be playing many well known schools in Cape Town such as WPPS, Bridge House, Reddam House, SACS, Grove Primary, Somerset House and Somerset College Prep School. They will also have an opportunity for a development side match at SACS. They will visit many of Cape Town's popular tourist destinations including Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point, Hout Bay, Cheetah Sanctuary and the Two Oceans Aquarium.
Sutton Valence School are sending their 1st XI on a tour to Cape Town, South Africa in February 2020. On arrival in Cape Town, they will start their tour with a trip up Table Mountain on the cable car. They will play fixtures against Edgemead High School, Fairmont High School, Paarl Boys' High School, Bridge House School and Somerset College as well as the Langa Development Team. They will enjoy visits to Robben Island, Boulders Beach, Hout Bay with a cruise to Seal Island, the Cheetah Sanctuary as well as the Spier Wine Estate and Eagle Encounters. On their last day they will watch the Stormers vs Jaguares rugby match before flying home after a busy and exciting tour!
A cricket team of 12 students and 3 staff, from Wellesley House School, will be touring South Africa in February. The team will depart from Heathrow Airport for Cape Town, where they will commence their tour. This 8 night tour includes 5 cricket matches against local schools such as Somerset College, SACS and Bishops, a training session, visits to Table Mountain, Robben Island, Camp’s Bay, a cheetah outreach centre and Stellenbosch. In addition, the group will spend a night at a game reserve, discovering the incredible wildlife that South Africa has to offer on their sunset and sunrise game drives. After an unforgettable tour, the team will depart Cape Town for Heathrow on the 21st February bringing their tour to an end.
