Bishops Diocesan College from Cape Town will be travelling to the UK with their 1st and 2nd XI teams on a cricket tour! The team consists of 26 boys and 4 accompanying staff. They will depart South Africa on Wednesday, 17 June 2020 on Virgin Atlantic Airways on a direct flight to London. The tour will see them play a number of UK schools such as Chaterhouse School, Whitgift School, Wellington School and even the prestigious Eton College, to name a few. The boys will also have enough time to enjoy the wonderful sights in and around London, such as a guided tour of the Lords Cricket Ground, a theatre show, the Thames Barrier Explorers Voyage Speed Boat trip and many more. With a total of 10 fixtures for each team the boys will have plenty cricket time in England! The team will depart once again on Virgin Atlantic Airways for their return to South Africa on the 02 July 2020.
Cornwall Hill College will be sending their U13 cricket boys to the UK in June 2020. They will depart on Friday, 19 June 2020 and return on Saturday, 04 July 2020. They will play matches against Bedford School, Northcote Lodge School, Twyford School, Monkton Combe School, Kings Hall School, Queens School, Westbourne House School and Lambrook School. To end off their tour they will spend 2 nights in London where they will have some free time to enjoy the beautiful sights London has to offer which includes the London Eye, London Dungeon and a Theatre Show.
Trinityhouse Preparatory School from Johannesburg will be sending 12 boys and 3 staff on a cricket tour to the United Kingdom. The touring team will depart Johannesburg on a Virgin Atlantic flight and they will spend 12 nights touring the UK. While on tour, there are 9 matches scheduled against local UK schools including Kings College School, Highfield School and Moulsford School. During their stay, they will visit Bath where they will explore this magnificent, ancient town. After their matches, the team will head to London where they will spend 2 nights in a centrally located hotel. The team will enjoy a guided tour of the Lord’s Cricket Stadium, where they have an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of many cricket legends through the Long Room, see the original Ashes Urn and visit the team change rooms. While in London, the team will visit the famous London Eye, where they will have paramount views of the city. In addition the group will enjoy a boat cruise along the Thames River as well as a spooky visit to the London Dungeon. After an incredible experience, the team will head back to Johannesburg following an amazing tour.
